Animation Fox?
This is too simple, but is does have good form however the jump seemed to float a little too much, but the tail flow nicely followed the arc and the tail flick, did add a smidgen of character at the end. over and all, it needs more and less floaty jumps
Kung Fu Grape
Kung Fu grape people love these drawing, i think it is a result of the pens and the use of shading that they can provide. these are good concepts but i wish i had more references to rotting fruit to do a better job on the un-rotten. yes that is what i'm calling them. however i think its a good use of colours and shading, and the simple shapes really helped
Animal Drawings
i'm sorry i can't rotate. these drawings of animals are a way of understanding their shape, from what i understand, for later use. this can be seen as these animals drawn are then immediately turned into characterized versions of the original.
the business suit works but it feels a little too over done to me that's why i switches to kung fu garb and the child clothing and rich persons smoking jacket. those worked well for their respected character, but the bear's kung fu look is the best, despite being a little cheated in terms of how i drew it, but still it looks the best out of all of them, and thats because of its character.
Weekly Drawings
A nice series of life drawings with simple line shading. the surreal drawing do seem to be a little wonky but in terms of shading and idea i think it works. and if you don't know whats surreal about the lamp take a closer look, its a little dark.
Second StoryBoard
There are a few things wrong i switch sides on the views throwing Sam from one side of Caroline to the other, there needs to be more dynamic shots, and probably more close ups to allow for more acting from the characters.it is done in simple black and white, it would be more correct to say very dark grey to very light grey. and also generally more frames to keep continuity.
Toy Story
the focus is the toy, and to my up most surprise it looks a lot cuter than the actual toy, i think its the eyes being so large, but i was trying to copy and not exaggerate, although the designers where exaggerating when the designed this toy. i did too many front on drawings, they work but for variation it'll be nice if they were done at different angles, but then again it works as the sub theme is that the toy is trying to gain the attention of the artist, then gives up. to gain the attention it will have to look at the artist straight on. the shading works although it is a little to sketchy, but that is a a style so it can pass.
Action Poses
these were quick drawings of action poses, emphasis on quick entailing why these aren't in more detail, they are interesting and the idea of a core line to work off of will come in handy when drawing from the mind or exaggerating from life.
Storyboard
This as you may have guessed is a storyboard. its something.
is a good start to my story-boarding, my first complaint would be the side views, these could be changed out for more dynamic shots, but coming from hindsight and a stage in the coarse where i have learnt the lessons that i failed to implement in this story board, like get closer to the face to allow for more acting on the actors part, more dynamic shots, what i have achieved in this and not in a later one is keeping the characters on their respective sides except for the close ups, those are straight on and could be done slightly from a side to further illustrate which side they belong to
